BAJA SAE Competition

I co-founded the Loyola Marymount BAJA SAE team/club in conjunction with four other teammates. We designed, manufactured, and completed our vehicle in a single year. Creating the team foundation for future classes to build upon.

I led the design/manufacturing of suspension, data acquisition, and drivetrain guarding and assisted with manufacturing the entire vehicle.

Our team placed third in the rock crawl event at the Washougal Washington BAJA SAE competition.

The majority of the design and function of the vehicle were completed with the team in Summer of 2022.

The goals of our undergraduate capstone project were to:

1. Improve suspension dynamics/handling through testing and analysis.

2. Model drivetrain behavior in simulations and tune for optimal race performance.

3. Perform further stress analysis and create FEA models to confirm vehicle safety.

This section showcases my tasks and projects.
